Antique Mac Collection

Over the years, I have collected several old computers.  It dawned on me a year ago that I actually had what could be the start of a real collection.  This page is to show them off!  I hope to have actual pictures eventually, but I haven’t got them all setup or in the same place yet.

Macintosh Classic
“Rescue”
Year: 1990
Processor: 8 MHz 68000

This gem was also being recycled. When I first got it, I was totally shocked that it still turned on!  I had to dig out my old ADB Keyboard to play with it!  It is still running its original system.

PowerBook 145b
“Irene”
Year: 1993
Processor: 25 MHz 68030

This is one of the first Mac Laptops. It was given to me by my favorite customer at my last job, as she had heard I was collecting old macs. I have yet to turn it on – I’m kind of afraid.

Power Macintosh G3 All-In-One
“Mother Brain”
Year: 1998
Processor: 233 MHz PowerPC 750 (G3)

This was my first computer, given to me as a joint 18th birthday and graduation present. She is currently in need of some RAM.

iMac G4/800 Flat Panel
“Lampshade”
Year: 2002
Processor: 800 MHz PowerPC 7445 (G4)

I saved this computer from being recycled. It is currently running Ubuntu 10.04.

iMac (Early 2009)
“Anubis”
Year: 2009
Processor: 2.66 GHz Intel Core2Duo (E8135)

This trusty iMac was my main everyday computer for several years. Recently, its screen has died.

MacBook Pro 15″ (Mid 2010)
“Phoenix”
Year: 2010
Processor: 2.53 GHz Intel Core i5-540M

Phoenix was a refurbished laptop that went through many upgrades and changes. It was my main laptop for quite a few years, until I recently upgraded to the 2017 model I have now.
